Stems high-climbing, finely retrorse-hairy; lfls broadly ovate to rotund, 5-15 cm, sparsely hairy beneath; peduncles 3-6 cm, bearing a crowded raceme 2-5 cm; fls 12-15 mm; fr 5 cm. Alluvial woods; w. Ky. to Ga. and La. June.
