Invertebrate Bycatch Collection (Archive Pooling) (NEON-IVBC-AP)

Subsample of adult non-Carabid or larval invertebrates collected as bycatch during pitfall sampling at terrestrial sites (NEON sample class: bet_archivepooling_in.subsampleID.ib). Ground beetle abundance and diversity are sampled via pitfall trapping at regular intervals by NEON field technicians at core and relocatable sites. Invertebrate bycatch are stored in 95% ethanol for archiving, and pooled into a single archive vial per plot. See TOS Protocol and Procedure: Ground Beetle Sampling and TOS Science Design for Ground Beetle Abundance and Diversity (https://data.neonscience.org/documents) for more information about this sample class.
