Flowers: sepals each often subtending a nectary; filaments thickened in middle; anthers ellipsoid; gynophore slender, elongating in fruit; style straight; stigma minute. Berries globose, ± fleshy. Seeds cochleate-reniform or orbicular to reniform, slightly rugulose.
