Vascular plants of NE US and adjacent Canada
Much like no. 2 [Hydrolea uniflora Raf.]; lvs glabrous beneath, sparsely bristly above, especially toward the base; upper part of the stem and cal sparsely hirsute with spreading hairs 2-3 mm, some of them glandular; sep lanceolate or lance-linear, 6-10 mm; 2n=20. Wooded swamps, mainly on the coastal plain; se. Va. to Fla. and La., n. inland to Tenn. May-Aug. (Nama q.)
