Vascular plants of NE US and adjacent Canada
Sep lance-subulate, distinct to the base; cor funnelform, barely surpassing the cal, hairy in the throat; stamens included; anthers rotund; ovary half-inferior; style very short; stigma capitate; capsule somewhat flattened, loculicidal, the carpels eventually separating; seeds numerous, minute; diffusely branched annual with narrow lvs connected at base by a stipular membrane, the fls small, sessile, white, in leafy terminal cymes. Monospecific.
