Much like no. 10 [Astragalus robbinsii (Oakes) A. Gray], but the fls 6-8 mm, the fr sessile, shorter and relatively broader, 5-13 נ3-5 mm, often more flattened; 2n=16, 32. Rocky slopes or gravel-bars; Lab. to Alas., s. to Nf. and N. Me., and in the w. to Colo. June, July. (Atelophragma elegans)
