Abstract: Located three hundred miles north of the Arctic Circle, the Barrow field site landscape is representative of the polygon tundra and lake systems across the northern extent of the North Slope of Alaska. Barrow spans 50 square kilometers and includes a 26’ tall meteorological flux tower and nearby soil sensors. NEON scientists also collect field observations throughout the field site.
